- Golf at Gold Canyon Ranch, this golf course, located in Apache Junction, is one of the best golf courses in Arizona. There are many other golf courses to choose from as well.

Shopping - Scottsdale Fashion Square (indoors) For all you shop till you drop types, this is it. Premiere shopping, dinning, and entertainment. Nearby is the famous Biltmore Fashion Park, design by Frank Lloyd Wright, first class shopping and restaurants, great people watching.

From pine country to desert, there's much sightseeing and history. Road trip anyone? If you rent a car, here's some suggested places to visit:

Heard Museum (indoors) Every major city, and most minor ones, have museums. The Heard Museum is unique, however, not only in the exhibits that are displayed, but the style and grace with which it displays them. I never tire of visiting the Heard Museum, with its more than 32,000 pieces of cultural and fine art.

Desert Botanical Garden
The Desert Botanical Garden has one of the world’s finest collections of desert plants.

Climb Piestewa Peak, formerly known as Squaw Peak. Hikers of all levels can get a great workout climbing this mountain, and get a great view of the city when they get to the top.

Golf at Gold Canyon Ranch, this golf course, located in Apache Junction, is one of the best golf course in Arizona.

South Mountain Park and Preserve the largest municipal park in the country. There are more than 50 miles of trails for horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking.

Phoenix Art Museum, features popular and unique exhibitions of the world’s best art, casual and fun events and activities and many comfortable architectural niches where one can just relax and rejuvenate. Phoenix Art Museum truly means “cool art, in a cool place.”
